It returned to its hometown with a project to reproduce works of art that have never been exhibited outside the museum, such as Sotatsu Tawaraya’s “Senmen Chirashizu Byobu,” which is owned by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art. It is open until November 3rd.

I immediately visited Kenninji Temple. Kenninji Temple, located in the end of south of Hanamikoji, had 60,000 square meters of its former precincts sold to Yasaka Nyokouba by the Jochi Rei in the early Meiji period, and development of the town with a red-light district atmosphere continued until the Taisho era.

It was Saturday afternoon, and there were a lot of tourists from overseas walking around. After passing through Hanamikoji, I arrived at Kenninji Temple, enjoying the typical Kyoto atmosphere.

When I enter the main temple entrance, there is a folding screen called “Senmen Chirashi Byoubu” in front of me, which is an impressive display. Although it was a replica, it was a replica made by Nishijin craftsmen and cutting-edge digital technology, so it was a wonderful thing.

Furthermore, I was captivated by the beautiful autumn leaves that were starting to change color, and was able to recharge by energy from nature by gazing out at the garden to my heart’s content. I believe that humans can reset ourselves to some extent if we are equipped to receive the energy emanating from the earth.

It is said that it is very good to stand barefoot on the ground. By blending into the scenery, your body will be healed. Although it was a temple in the middle of the city, it was a half-day where I was able to face myself in a very quiet way.
