This year is like a research institute that has grown up after the coming-of-age ceremony for Kyo-Suzume, and I would like to make efforts to make it a year of ” Cultural new mind resolution : Renewed announcement of cultural appeal “.
Last year was a difficult year under the corona. I hope you all are well and welcome the New Year. Everyone hopes that this year will be a good year, and we are welcoming the New Year.
Last year, we were able to successfully complete the publication of the “Love Letter to Kyoto: Ayumi of the 20th Year of Kyo-Suzume” booklet and the 3rd Okudo-san Summit. We aim for further development this year. The opening of “Koibumi Hiroba to Kyoto” and the “Okudosan Summit” developed from “Kyoto Hihi Story” also provide water for growing plants such as rice cultivation in “Kyoto Water Story”, drinking water, and water specializing in food processing. In addition, we will endeavor to disseminate the culture of living, including the houses owned Okudo.
Participants at the Okudo-san Summit commented that “hardware is important, but software and cultural inheritance are the most important.” I often feel that the times are moving in the direction that Kyo-Suzume is aiming for. We will disseminate a culture of living that will become a universal compass.
In addition, we will start open recruitment for the “4th Love Letter to Kyoto”. This time, we will open “Love Letter Square to Kyoto” to enhance the power of transmission and centripetal force from Kyoto, solicit “Love Letters to Kyoto” from all over the country, and revitalize it as an opportunity to rediscover the deep charm of Kyoto. I would be happy if I could contribute.
We would like to expand the circle with people who support the activity of transmitting genuine products backed by history and tradition. As a living witness, I will make a proposal to enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto with all five senses.
We want to stay ahead of the times and boost the value of Kyoto to the value of the world. We will do our best to make it a commemorative year for Kyo-Suzume who has finished the coming-of-age ceremony. Thank you for your cooperation.
